SPA Girls Podcast – EP97 – Interview with Shayne Silvers

This week we interview best selling urban fantasy author Shayne Silvers, who gives us the inside scoop on his writing processes, his beta reading team, and how he markets his popular Nate Temple series. (Spoiler warning: Shayne works really hard, set everything up to work as it should and has amazing blurbs. ie it’s no wonder he’s doing so well!) We loved hearing his story, because he had two books up and nothing much was happening, and it was only when he realised that he had to take his writing seriously, and start treating it like a real business instead of a part time hobby, that things started to change for Shayne. These days he’s doing rather well, thank you very much. šŸ™‚

NOTE: His book Beast Master (number 5 in the series) was also recently nominated for a Dragon Award, which is fantastic news for Indie authors everywhere! (And also Shayne, of course.)Ā If you’ve read the book and loved it, be sure to head over to the Dragon Con websiteĀ and vote for him!

Shayne is a man of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by his mystery. In other words, a storyteller.

He currently writes theĀ Nate Temple Supernatural Thriller Series, which features a foul-mouthed wizard with a chip on his shoulder trying to protect St. Louis from monsters, myths, and legends. Nate rides a bloodthirsty unicorn, drinks with Achilles, and is pals with Deathā€¦

Shayne holds two high-ranking black beltsĀ and enjoys conversing about anything Marvel, Magical, or Mythological. You might find him writing in a coffee shop near you, cackling madly into his computer screen while pounding shots of espresso.
